you could take up flight from any tragic plight/

look at Africa look at all these hungry souls/
dying and their starving for an answer and a tummy full/
so many kids in our nation they're American/
confused cuz the news is getting louder than our parenting/
we need a true change gimme one life/
who stands for righteousness & they refuse to compromise/
convictions from the Bible we could flip the world around/
many will be lost but a remnant will be found/
& we can shine bright but the limelight's His/
the light will never fade they won't muzzle us again/
& if they kill us when we speak we're off to meet the Son/
our curtain won't call till the Father says we're done/

Got a neighbor on my block who's never been saved, dang/
plus he doesn't understand my lingo, my Christian slang/
he drinks liquor smokes cigarettes, smelly/
I've been keeping my distance like my choir coach tells me/
I'm so afraid his doubt is stronger than my faith/
that I'm hiding in my cave till all his problems go away/
until he fixes his self I'll stay gone/
put a scripture on my car and a cross in my lawn/
but God knows this is not the way to go/
this man is dying needs a friend who will listen and show/
the love of Jesus that He gives and the grace that we've known/
who will embrace him with His love & take their faith to his home?/
that's why we're here we're ambassadors we're driven by love/
and we live and speak truth cuz it was given to us/
we're no better but we know a better way/
so we're in a better place to lead 'em to better days/

you're a signpost of real hope a knife to cut the real rope/
that's strangling your neighbors your family but they can heal so/
they need the gospel message so hearts can be set free/
